1. Nice

Nice is the capital of the department of Alpes-Maritimes on the French Riviera. As you walk around the promenade, you can breathe in the fresh Mediterranean air. At the top of Castle Hill, you can also get the best view of the city. Enjoy the sun all year and go for a walk along the vibrant and colourful streets and shores. Nice is one of the most popular tourist destinations in France.

You can visit this place by choosing and booking the best France tour packages. This place has also served as a scientific and technological research centre. The coast is stunning from Nice to Menton, passing through Montecarlo.

2. Marseille Old Port

Marseille is a port city in southwestern France. It serves as a hub for immigration and trade, as well as a market for fishmongers to sell their catch. When the lights from the houses and buildings are turned on, the old port of Marseille looks stunning at night. This place is a part of our list of most instagrammable places in the south of France.

It appears to be its own place in the morning, like its own kingdom. It is home to Notre-Dame de la Garde. It is a basilica and the city’s most recognisable symbol, as well as the most visited site in Marseille. It was our first stop in France, and we had a great time exploring the old port.

3. Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is the epitome of the French Riviera. The colourful streets lined with shops and restaurants in the old town, as well as the white sand beaches and turquoise Mediterranean waters, are frequented by celebrities and tourists alike, and every corner is utterly breathtaking.

If you want to find the most photogenic spots in Ramatuelle, simply stroll around the streets and you’ll find plenty of colourful alleyways filled with vintage charm and cascading flowers. Alternatively, spend a day at a chic beach club in Ramatuelle like Cabane Bambou.

4. Valensole

Lavender heaven. Valensole, in France’s Provence region, is known around the world as one of the most beautiful places to witness the lavender season. This place is a part of our list of most instagrammable places in south of France.

The lavender fields are unlike any other, with vast swaths of rolling hills covered in these purple beauties just outside of the small town. The lavender season is short, so if you’re planning a trip to the south between late June and mid-July, take advantage of this opportunity!

5. Menton

Menton is a small town near the Italian border with charming pastel-colored buildings and stunning coastal views. When Prince Charles Grimaldi purchased Monaco, it became a part of the city.

Menton was known as a health resort popular with British tourists who couldn’t get enough of the sun. Menton’s Old Town, Basilica St. Michel, museums, a garden, a 2-star Michelin restaurant called Mirazur, and several beaches can all be found by walking through its narrow, cobblestone streets.

6. France Vineyard

The Eiffel Tower is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel and is located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. The city is surrounded by forests of beech and oak known as the lungs of Paris. During the Enlightenment, a 17th and 18th century European intellectual movement, it earned the moniker “City of Light.” It is one of France’s most instagrammable locations.

7. Cannes

The French film capital and a fantastic beach location. Cannes is famous for its annual film festival, which attracts celebrities from all over the world, but the town is just as glamorous at any time of year. Cannes retains a larger beach town feel, but without the crowds of Nice, which is one of the reasons you can enjoy using Cannes as a home base for day trips along the coast.

This place is a part of our list of most instagrammable places in south of France. Choose one of the beautiful beach clubs along La Croisette and spend the day! The Marina is another great place to walk around and admire the beautiful yachts, as well as catch the perfect Cannes sunset over the town.

8. Grimaud

The Grimaud village, like Bormes-les-Mimosas, is classified as a “Ville Fleurie,” and every street is filled with colourful charm and beautiful floral accents. If you enjoy picturesque French towns like I do, this is a dream come true. Grimaud is a small hillside village, and Port Grimaud is a colourful coastal town known as the French Riviera’s “little Venice,” both of which are not far from neighbouring St. Tropez and equally as beautiful.

9. Villefranche-sur-mer

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a hidden gem located just outside of Nice. Because this coastal town is small, it is much quieter, more relaxed, and has a more vacation-like atmosphere. The beautiful pastel coloured homes that line the streets in absolute perfection are my favourite part of this town- this was by far the most charming town in the south of France for me. There is also a charming public beach to visit! Check out the pedestrian walkway near Place Wilson or capture views from above along the Boulevard Napoléon III towards Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat if you want to see more of Villefranche-Sur-Mer.

 10. Casis

Cassis is a wonderful southern escape located close to Marseille, the big city of the south. Cassis is easily accessible from Marseille and is an excellent starting point for hiking the stunning rocky limestone inlets of this region known as Les Calanques. The town itself is charming, with quaint streets teeming with great restaurants and shops, as well as a lovely marina where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. If you like flowers, you must see the impressive bougainvillaea display at Place Baragnon; it’s unlike anything else!

These most instagrammable places in the south of France will undoubtedly make you visit France again. So make sure to click enough photos to brag about your visit. These photos can also be a sweet memory of your good time. There is a lot to do and see in France other than these places. So when are you visiting France again?
