Why I Want to Travel: My Personal Reasons

travel

Hey everyone! Today, I am going to share my personal reasons for why I want to travel. If we talk about my childhood, I never thought about travelling. You won’t believe, but I was that kind of person who could do anything except travelling. A studious, reserved and introverted kind of person who just loves studying, preparing for the exams, and maintaining a position of number one in the class. Well, this was all about my childhood.

Yes, I was a different kind of person at that time. Different, no, you can say just the opposite of who I am today. After I completed my graduation, I started developing an interest in travelling. I used to watch travel vlogs, and they inspired me to travel.

Honestly, it was out of my budget to travel to the dream countries or places in other states or cities. Because of this, I started travelling in my city only. I used to explore the picturesque places in my hometown, and I really loved it. My ultimate dream is to go to places I have never been before, to explore new places, learn from those experiences and evolve myself. Now let’s get into the reasons why I want to travel.

1. To Get Out of My Comfort Zone

It is the number one reason that pops up in my mind whenever someone says or asks me why I want to travel. You might wonder, if life feels secure and familiar, what’s the point of leaving that safe space? My response to this is only yes, I do agree people stay in their comfort zones throughout their entire life. Also, this is a valid point when we are getting everything we want in our comfort zone, what is the need to even get out of it? But if you want to live your best life or even want to grow in life, then it is crucial to get out of your comfort zone.

As we all know, if we are not growing in our lives, we are dead from the inside in some way. That’s why I want to get out of my comfort zone. Yes, there are other ways as well to get out of your comfort zone, and travelling is one of them. When you visit a new place, it will be your first experience in your life, and you never know if it will come again or not. For your intellectual and even personal growth, it is crucial. These experiences will eventually make you a more mature person, and your personality will become even more unique and different.

2. To Break That Monotony

Usually, our life just starts and ends with work. We wake up, follow that same routine every day, sleep, and this cycle continues. We do not get much time to look inside our minds, to think clearly and go beyond our capabilities. Why are we even doing all this work, struggling every day? We are doing all this to live a better life, but if we do not take time for ourselves in between, we get lost in this cycle. That’s why I want to travel to break that cycle, to open my mind and give meaning to my life.

3. To Step Into History

I really love visiting the historic places. It is like a beautiful or alluring dream come true for me. I love witnessing those forts, palaces where the Kings used to live. Also, the landmarks that are linked with an important historic event. These thoughts even give me goosebumps. Travel brings the past to life in a way no book ever could.

4. To Learn New Languages

Travelling gives a huge opportunity to learn a new language; otherwise, how will you interact with the person in that different state or country? Even if you can just learn a single word, you won’t forget that word in your life. Otherwise, we try to learn a new language with the help of courses. I personally think they are not as effective when we compare them to the real-life experience.

Final Thoughts

These were my personal reasons. If you read this article till here, I am sure you also want to travel at your dream destination someday. Travelling for me is not discovering places, but discovering myself. It gives meaning to my life. But whenever that day comes, I want to be prepared. One of the smartest ways to stay connected on the go is by using a travel eSIM, especially if you are travelling to another country. Without an eSIM it will be troublesome for you to survive there. It is not just about eSIM, but you have to prepare yourself mentally and physically as well for your next adventure. Let’s dream big, plan smart and convert all these reasons into real experiences or adventures.
